My bladder is much “happier” with much less pain.

It has been a year since my surgery of a sacrocolpopexy and paravaginal repair. I am feeling well and as normal as possible considering my 30-year history of problems. The pelvic therapy has helped immensely. My bladder is much “happier” with much less pain. Intercourse is once again possible and comfortable.

I want to thank you once again for helping me to gain back a sense of normalcy. I also want to extend a grateful thank you to your staff for answering all my questions over the past year as well. I offer continued well wishes and safe travel to you and Dr. Miklos. May you and your families have a blessed holiday season.

Dr. Miklos is a miracle worker…Thank you, Dr. Miklos, for giving me my life back.

I was diagnosed with vaginal prolapse in Kyoto, Japan. When I asked my surgeon, in Tokyo, Japan who was the best in the United States he told me he knew Dr. Miklos from various international meetings and the scientific papers he wrote. To my surprise he practices in Atlanta, the home of my daughter and son-in-law.

I flew to Atlanta and met Dr. Miklos and was impressed at once. Dr. Miklos was professional, sincere and empathetic. He spent time with me and fulfilled his first promise and he made me an “educated consumer.” I couldn’t believe he spent over 1.5 hours with me teaching me my diagnosis, the recommended surgical procedures and the risks of surgery. I chose to have surgery and it was one of the best decisions of my life. Dr. Miklos is a miracle worker…Thank you, Dr. Miklos, for giving me my life back.

Kyoto, Japan

When I met Dr. Moore for the first time I knew I had made the right decision to travel to Atlanta for the surgery.

I was told by a Urologist and Gynecologist that I required these surgeries, but the problem was there was only 1 Urogynecologist in my city that could performed them and by an abdominal incision. I was then faced with a 6-month wait to see the Dr and then a wait time of up to 3 months or more for the surgery, this was unacceptable to me as I was very uncomfortable and suffering from backache and groin pain. I do not mind being on a waiting list but this was too long, I felt there was no alternative but to seek treatment elsewhere, as we do not have private health care in my Country.

I then turned to the Internet and “Googled” the surgery that I required and Miklos and Moore was the first website to be displayed. The website was very informative, so I decided to give them a call. The rest is history as I was operated on within 4 weeks from the date of the first contact with the office. I found that the office staff were very informative and answered all questions. Everything was arranged very quickly and all pre-and post-op instructions were given clearly in a booklet before even going to the office. I had no surprises either financially or otherwise, everything was as laid out beforehand.

When I met Dr. Moore for the first time I knew I had made the right decision to travel to Atlanta for the surgery, as Dr. Moore, from the very first handshake instilled confidence in me that he was the right Dr to perform these procedures. Dr. Moore spent over 1-1/2 hours with me and my daughter explaining the procedures, also using diagrams to do so. I have never had a Dr. give me so much information before, or not try to leave the room after 15mins. Dr. Moore did not make us feel inadequate when answering what were probably to him trivial questions, we were always treated with respect.

I had the surgery and all previous pain disappeared right away, the surgery for me was painless as I never needed or took any pain medication. I must admit I did expect more backache which did not materialize. I stayed in Atlanta for 1 week before traveling home. It is now 4 months since I had the surgery and I am back to work full time and at the gym (with restrictions). I have always been a very active person but I did listen to all the instructions and did follow them religiously for 10 weeks to give myself time to heal.

So, Dr. Moore from the bottom of my heart I THANK YOU for taking me on as a patient and who would not want to be operated on by such a skilled surgeon who with his partner Dr. Miklos has performed over 1200+ of these surgeries with a 98% success rate.

My husband is a retired Physician and he was very happy with the treatment that I received and with the result of the surgery. We would not hesitate to recommend Atlanta Centre for Laparoscopic Urogynecology to anyone needing this kind of surgery.

My surgery was success and I am happy with the results.

Dr. Miklos did my sacrocolpopexy, as well as anterior and posterior vaginal repair, tot sling and hysterectomy in late June 2008. My surgery was success and I am happy with the results.

The women who undergo surgery with Dr. Moore and Dr. Miklos are those who report back with positive outcomes…

I have spent many, many hours researching pelvic organ prolapse and am also a member of some online support groups. Taking part in online support forums has led me to notice that the women who undergo surgery with Dr. Moore and Dr. Miklos are those who report back with positive outcomes and then their online posts dwindle, presumably because they are off living their lives without worrying about their vaginas anymore. I want to be one of those women and believe the best chance I have at gaining some normality back is to go to Atlanta, as far away as it is.

‘It was all perfect. I can’t thank Dr. Moore enough for giving me my body and my life back!’

Following childbirth I suffered from extensive vaginal relaxation. Sex was very painful and I could not hold a tampon in place. Furthermore, due to the fact that my bladder had also moved downwards, I needed to urinate frequently and so I had to stop most of my physical activities in particular running. I could not even do any abdominal exercises as I felt that something was not in place and it was very uncomfortable. The worst thing was however that locally, I was told that nothing was wrong, that this was a natural consequence of giving birth. I assumed that they were right after having six children however I had only delivered one child. The solution they offered me (only because I kept insisting) was to fix the bladder problem by operating vaginally. That was the only problem they could diagnose and the rest, I was making a fuss about. At 33 and having put up with this situation for 6 years not feeling comfortable and most of all felling that they did not understand my frustrations. I tried search on the internet, even though I had no idea that I would actually find a surgeon that could identify and solve my problems. I first visited a surgeon in New York. A year later, I found out about Dr. Moore and Dr. Miklos through their website. After seeing Dr. Moore in Atlanta, I knew instantly that I was in the right place. Dr. Moore identified my condition which was then further analyzed under anesthesia. He addressed all problems laparoscopic ally. It turned out that there were quite a few issues to address. In my country, I have been told over and over again that a laparoscopic procedure to correct my defects was impossible. I even told them what Dr. Moore had told me and how he would carry out the surgery and they were still against it and not believing it could be done.

Through laparoscopy Dr. Moore, reattached my uterus back in place using a mesh; he pulled my bladder back in position, corrected the paravaginal defects and tightened all my muscles. The scars are minimal and barely visible. I feel as though I never gave birth. My sex life is back to normal (actually better than before since I had a retroverted uterus even pre childbirth and this contributed to the pain). I am back running, cycling, swimming and yoga without any sort of problems. Recovery was three months and now I am building up slowly. Dr. Moore was incredible at understanding my problems and concerns and the relief at knowing that my problems could be corrected is huge. My emails (pre-and post op) were always answered immediately, even though I live on the other side of the world. The administration at the clinic were great with helping me out with appointments, hotels, etc.. Nina the nurse was fantastic. I stayed in Atlanta for two weeks in total and the care I got was amazing. All sutures dissolved naturally. I did not even have to travel back for checkups. It was all perfect. I can’t thank Dr. Moore enough for giving me my body and my life back!

I have learned a lot from watching your videos and reading your papers.

I am a member of the AAGL and work as a Consultant in the United Kingdom, in a place called Southend-on-Sea. I am a gynecologist and have been working in the UK for the last ten years. I have a keen interest in gynae laparoscopy and have watched your operative videos, both on your website and on surgeryU with interest. In particular, I am fascinated by your suturing techniques. I marvel at the speed with which you perform extracorporeal suturing. I have learned a lot from watching your videos and reading your papers. I hope I will be able to watch you in action sometime in the future.

‘I had no idea how much I needed this surgery until after it was over and I began to heal.’

Dr. Miklos, it has been twelve weeks since my surgery. All is well. I want to share my overall experience and to compliment you and your staff.

I had several procedures including the hysteropexy, paravaginal and posterior repairs. In all it was a more difficult surgery than I hoped but the recovery was also faster and more complete than I expected.

Your patients can rely on outstanding support from your entire staff. Ronda Skipper is gracious and thorough in guiding the patient through the financial details. Carleen Wilson is a champion of kind-heartedness and going the extra mile. Tyrell is warm and puts the patient at ease. At Northside Hospital, the personnel in med-surg as well as in post-operative care were wonderful during the most difficult hours.

I want to thank you and your entire team. I had no idea how much I needed this surgery until it was over and I began to heal. At twelve weeks I feel wonderful, better than ever!!!!!!!
