Patients will sometimes present with excess clitoral hood. Their chief complaint is either I have more skin around my clitoris than I had before or since I have more skin it is harder for me to achieve clitoral orgasms. The patient has noted a change in her ability to achieve orgasms. Most of Drs. Miklos & Moore’s patient will tell the typical story that things “changed after childbirth” “more skin than there used to be” and “my clitoris is not as sensitive as it used to be.” Drs. Miklos & Moore explain that their clitoris is probably just as sensitive as it was before but now there is more skin on top of the clitoris making it harder to stimulate. No surgeon can guarantee that reducing the amount of skin will definitively return the patient to her previous state, many patients have attested to it. Below is an illustration showing excess clitoral hood or stretched clitoral hood and what the surgeon accomplish after surgery.
